Ex‑Security Chief: Netanyahu Never Ethical, Family Engaged in Abuse of Power

A former member of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s personal security team has revealed violent incidents within Netanyahu’s family, including a physical confrontation between Netanyahu’s son and the prime minister himself

AhlulBayt News Agency: A former member of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s personal security team has revealed violent incidents within Netanyahu’s family, including a physical confrontation between Netanyahu’s son and the prime minister himself.

Ami Dror, who previously headed Netanyahu’s security detail, shared disturbing accounts about Netanyahu’s wife and son during a podcast interview with the Israeli newspaper Maariv.

He said Yair Netanyahu was involved in a violent clash with his father that required others to intervene, describing it as a serious confrontation rather than a minor argument.

In the same interview, Dror offered a harsh personal assessment of Netanyahu, saying the Israeli prime minister “was never an ethical person.”

He claimed Netanyahu frequently “eats at restaurants and doesn’t pay, leaving the bill for others,” adding that power had only worsened his behavior and that of his family and inner circle.

Speaking about Netanyahu’s wife, Sara, Dror described her as “a malicious woman” who consolidated control within the household and influenced legal matters to protect her family’s interests.

The former bodyguard also reiterated that Netanyahu should face prison, noting his long‑standing involvement in corruption cases that have shaped Israeli politics.

In November 2019, Israel’s attorney general indicted Netanyahu on charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust in three separate cases, making him the first sitting Israeli prime minister to stand trial.

The cases involved receiving gifts from wealthy associates, offering regulatory or legislative favors in exchange for positive media coverage, and granting business advantages to a telecommunications company for favorable reporting.

Netanyahu’s trial has continued for years, with repeated court sessions throughout 2024 and 2025.

Additionally, Israel’s longest‑serving prime minister faces accusations of grave war crimes against Palestinians, with the International Criminal Court issuing an arrest warrant for him in November 2024.

The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory reported in September that Netanyahu’s government committed genocide in Gaza and urged the international community to uphold its legal obligations and hold those responsible accountable.
